Members of the technical logistics and equipment team, Kevin Saw and Robin Brown travelled to the Cellula Robotics headquarters in Canada, to conduct the first phase of acceptance testing for the STEMM-CCS drill rig which has now been built. This is the tool that will push a curved pipe into the seabed for injection of the CO2 via a diffuser at the end of the pipe (see right hand image below).

Testing took place on a chilly weekend in Vancouver docks in January. The photos below show the rig being lowered into the water and the curved pipe can be seen clearly protruding from the top of the rig.
