‘Lowest Cost Decarbonisation for the UK: The Critical Role of CCS’ is the title of the report released this week from the UK Parliamentary Advisory Group on CCS led by Lord Oxburgh. Six main recommendations include establishing a new company to deliver full-chain CCS, incentivising industrial CCS and obligating fossil fuel suppliers to store a growing percentage of the CO2 associated with the supply.
