We are very pleased to announce that Shell, one of our STEMM-CCS Partners, will once again be hosting a STEMM-CCS project meeting. Having hosted the STEMM-CCS kick off meeting at the Shell Centre in London in March 2016, the Shell Technology Centre Amsterdam will be the venue for the 3rd Annual Project meeting in Spring 2019.

STEMM-CCS scientists are once again heading to the Goldeneye site in the North Sea to continue baseline studies, prior to the main controlled CO2 release experiment cruises in 2019. Led by Prof. Eric Achterberg aboard the German research ship RV Poseidon, they will depart from Kiel on Wednesday 15th August, returning to Kiel at the beginning of September.

One of the big objectives of the STEMM-CCS project is the 2019 controlled CO2 release experiment which will be used to test the effectiveness of our developed sensors, technologies and techniques (e.g. chemical, acoustic etc) in the detection and quantification of CO2.
